Peter Shaw asked about the kind of cylinder the SR4-S uses on our Amazon listing . Amazon only provides very limited space for reply, so a short one was posted but here is the rest of the story.
Peter, Thanks for your interest! ProWine Product SR4-S Amazon item # B00MDNB4H0 is configurable to suit user preferences. As displayed, please note it is a 4 bottle system, not the 3 bottle referenced in your question. Our Speed Rail (SR) series modules are often used in multi-unit commercial configurations. Characteristically, these larger commercial applications connect to a large, remote gas cylinder containing either Argon, Nitrogen, Beer Gas or CO2. As a back bar display, operators just don't want those larger cylinders taking up visual space on the bar.
As it happens, we actually do configure the SR4-S as a stand alone 3 bottle system! In this application, a smaller gas cylinder stands in the rail in place on the first (leftmost) wine bottle position shown in the photos. Again, gas options can include CO2. CO2 is standard. On our Amazon product page for the Aereserve Wine Care System - Amazon # B00MAPFO9U - the second photo down shows our standard compact (SS) regulator atop a greyed out, user supplied SodaStream refill cylinder. In this configuration, the SS regulator is included. The SodaStream cylinder is not. They are available locally virtually everywhere and on Amazon as # B002ZB7M44 by a separate seller.
ProWine's ability to use CO2 in gas-based wine systems is unique and it is patented. You can expect to serve and preserve over 200 bottles of wine from a single SodaStream cylinder. This gives you an unprecedentedly low operation cost of only pennies per-bottle along with the convenience of easy cylinder refill/exchanges.
Wine lovers, rightfully, have a diversity of preferences. For most of 15 years, we've done our best to work with our customers to achieve the optimal configuration for each. In that regard, it is worthwhile pointing out that the commercial SR system does not include our innovative, patent pending optional aeration feature which in incorporated into our Aereserve model. Commercial operators have yet to understand the sensory benefit of thorough wine aeration. The difference is in the Bottle Heads, the bottle fitments. If you prefer, we can replace the standard SR heads with the optionally aerating heads.
You would need to note your preferences with the order. It would be for Amazon # B00MDNB4H0. For customization, please add these notations to your order: "SR4-S in stand alone, 3 bottle configuration with included SS regulator"
If you prefer to go with the optional aeration feature, also note, "Replace SR heads with Aereserve heads" .
That's all it takes!
While many of our customizations do impact price, at this time, there is no additional charge for either or the combination of both customizations above, but allow 3-4 additional working days before we ship.
Alternatively, though it would not be in a Speed Rail as the SR, you can cover 3 bottles by getting one Aereserve single bottle setup - Amazon # B00MAPFO9U and two expansion bottle heads - Amazon # B00MDIAMVY. Currently, that would be about $ 90.00 less.
I hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to ask any other questions.
