Coração Obra Prima is produced in the Vinho Verde region of northern Portugal, particularly in the Lima Valley, where the Loureiro grape reaches its finest expression. This wine is crafted by Abegoaria, a Portuguese producer known for highlighting regional varietals with modern winemaking precision.
Production Notes:
This Vinho Verde is a blend of Loureiro, Arinto, and Trajadura—three of the region's classic white grapes. It is fermented at controlled low temperatures to preserve aromatic intensity and crisp freshness. The wine is lightly effervescent, a traditional trait of the Vinho Verde style, and is bottled young to retain its vibrant character. Alcohol content typically ranges between 9.5% and 11%, depending on the vintage.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Pale straw with greenish hues, bright and clear.
Aroma: Delicate and expressive, featuring floral notes from Loureiro, with zesty citrus and green apple aromas from Arinto and Trajadura.
Palate: Light-bodied and refreshing, showing a harmonious balance of crisp acidity, gentle effervescence, and lively fruit—think lime, white peach, and lemon blossom.
Finish: Clean, crisp, and slightly mineral, leaving a refreshing, mouthwatering finish.
Pairing Suggestions:
This wine is a natural fit for:
Fresh seafood (grilled shrimp, ceviche, oysters)
Light salads and veggie dishes
Soft cheeses (goat cheese, feta)
Asian cuisine, especially sushi or Thai noodle dishes
Also excellent as a summertime aperitif
Coração Obra Prima Vinho Verde is an excellent introduction to the style—fresh, lively, and easy to enjoy, whether you're sipping it on a patio or pairing it with a seafood dinner.
Coral do Mar is crafted by Bodegas Eidosela, a respected cooperative winery located in the Condado do Tea subregion of Rías Baixas, in Galicia, Spain. Known for their dedication to quality and tradition, Eidosela represents a collective of passionate winegrowers who have worked the rugged, Atlantic-influenced terrain for generations. The name "Coral do Mar" evokes the deep marine influence on the vineyards, highlighting the winery’s close relationship with the nearby ocean, which lends salinity and freshness to their wines. This Albariño is a flagship expression of the winery’s mission: to bottle the vibrant character of coastal Galicia in every glass.
Vineyard Notes
The grapes for Coral do Mar Albariño 2023 come from vines planted on granitic and sandy soils with excellent drainage, situated at moderate elevations within the Condado do Tea subzone. The Atlantic climate of Rías Baixas, with its frequent mist and rainfall, is moderated by ocean breezes, which help prevent disease and preserve acidity in the grapes. The vines are trained in the traditional pergola system to promote air circulation and sun exposure. The 2023 growing season was marked by a cool, wet spring followed by a dry and mild summer, allowing for slow, even ripening that preserved aromatics and yielded wines with remarkable freshness and balance.
Production Notes
Harvested by hand at peak ripeness in early September, the Albariño grapes were carefully sorted before undergoing a gentle pressing to extract pure, aromatic juice. Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks at controlled low temperatures to preserve the varietal character and vibrant fruit profile. The wine was aged on fine lees for a short period, which added texture and subtle complexity without overshadowing its crisp and expressive nature. No oak was used in the production, maintaining the wine’s pristine, fruit-forward style.
Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections
Aromas of white peach, pear, and green apple
Subtle floral notes of orange blossom and honeysuckle
Crisp and zesty palate with refreshing citrus—lemon and lime
Hints of sea spray and salinity reflecting the coastal terroir
Clean, mineral-driven finish with lingering acidity
Serving Suggestions
Coral do Mar Albariño 2023 is best served well-chilled, around 45–50°F (7–10°C), to enhance its lively acidity and aromatic intensity. This wine is a perfect pairing for seafood dishes such as oysters, scallops, grilled shrimp, or Galician-style octopus (pulpo a la gallega). It also complements fresh goat cheese, sushi, and light vegetarian fare. Ideal for summer sipping or as a vibrant aperitif, it offers a refreshing taste of the Atlantic in every pour.
Soto del Vicario is a forward-thinking winery located in the historic and rugged hills of Bierzo, in Castilla y León, Spain. With a dedication to low-intervention winemaking and deep respect for traditional Spanish viticulture, Soto del Vicario champions native grape varieties, some from century-old vines, to craft wines that reflect the region's authenticity and complexity. The "Orange Marrows" blend is part of their experimental yet heritage-driven approach—bringing forgotten varietals and ancient methods, such as skin-contact fermentation, into a modern, expressive format. Every bottle is a tribute to the land, the vines, and the legacy of rural Spain.
Vineyard Notes
The grapes for Orange Marrows come from 80-year-old bush-trained vines grown on steep, mineral-rich slopes of slate and clay in DO Bierzo. The vineyard sits at a high elevation where cool nights and warm days produce grapes with excellent acidity and complexity. These dry-farmed, organically tended vineyards are interspersed with wild herbs and native flora, creating a biodiverse environment that enhances the health and aromatic profile of the fruit. The vines are low-yielding, focusing their energy on fewer grapes, which results in wines of intensity and depth.
Production Notes
The 2023 Orange Marrows is a skin-contact (orange) wine made by fermenting white grapes on their skins for added texture, tannin, and aromatic complexity. Each varietal—Doña Blanca, Palomino, Godello, and Malvasia—was hand-harvested separately, then co-fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel and neutral vessels to preserve varietal purity. The wine spent several weeks on the skins before gentle pressing, followed by aging on fine lees for added mouthfeel. No fining or filtering was done, and only minimal sulfur was added at bottling to maintain vibrancy and freshness.
Tasting Notes
Bright amber-orange in the glass with a hazy, natural appearance
Aromas of dried apricot, orange peel, chamomile, and a touch of flint
Herbaceous notes of thyme, fennel, and bay leaf on the mid-palate
Structured tannins from the skin contact, offering grip and dimension
Layers of stone fruit, tangerine zest, and subtle oxidative nuttiness
Dry, mineral-driven finish with a lingering saline note
Serving Suggestions
Serve slightly chilled (around 55°F/13°C) to allow its complex aromas and textural components to shine. This orange wine pairs beautifully with a wide range of foods thanks to its grip and acidity. Try it with Moroccan tagines, grilled octopus, miso-glazed vegetables, hard sheep’s cheeses, or roasted chicken with preserved lemon. It also stands up to fermented and umami-rich dishes like kimchi or mushroom risotto. Ideal for adventurous palates, natural wine lovers, and those seeking food-friendly wines with character.
Nestled in the heart of Provence, Domaine de Cantarelle is renowned for its dedication to crafting elegant rosé wines that capture the spirit and sunshine of southern France. The estate, surrounded by lavender fields and olive groves, benefits from an ideal Mediterranean climate and limestone-rich soils, which lend vibrancy and structure to its wines. With a passion for sustainable farming and meticulous winemaking, Domaine de Cantarelle embraces both tradition and innovation, producing wines that reflect the terroir and the romance of Provence. “Amor” Rosé is their expressive homage to love, leisure, and the beauty of life shared over a glass of wine.
Production Notes:
The 2024 vintage of "Amor" Rosé is a vin de France made from a blend of classic southern French grape varieties, including Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah, harvested in the cool early morning to preserve freshness and aromatic integrity. Gentle pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks ensure the preservation of delicate fruit and floral aromatics. The wine undergoes a brief period of lees contact to enhance texture and mouthfeel without compromising its crisp, clean profile. No oak is used, allowing the purity of the fruit and terroir to shine through in this beautifully pale, salmon-hued rosé.
Tasting Notes:
Pale pink color with a glimmering, rose-gold hue
Aromas of fresh wild strawberries, white peaches, and red currants
Subtle floral notes of hibiscus and rose petals
Crisp and lively on the palate with bright acidity
Flavors of raspberry sorbet, watermelon, and citrus zest
Finishes clean, mineral-driven, and refreshingly dry
Serving Suggestions:
"Amor" Rosé is best served well-chilled and is a natural companion to warm-weather fare and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Enjoy it with fresh goat cheese salads, grilled shrimp skewers, Provençal flatbreads, or a classic Niçoise salad. Its crisp acidity also makes it a charming match for sushi, ceviche, or even spicy Thai cuisine. Perfect for picnics, rooftop gatherings, or relaxing al fresco evenings, this rosé is meant to be sipped slowly and shared generously.
Bodegas Agronavarra, the producer of Agramont, is located in the heart of the Navarra DO, a region renowned for its blend of traditional Spanish winemaking and innovative techniques. Established with a focus on sustainability and regional expression, Agronavarra crafts wines that showcase the character of native varietals. The Agramont label reflects a commitment to quality and value, with particular attention to lesser-known grapes like Graciano that thrive in the continental climate and diverse terroirs of Navarra.
Vineyard Notes:
The Graciano grapes used for the Agramont 2021 are grown in the higher-altitude vineyards of Navarra, where cooler nights and warm days create optimal conditions for ripening while preserving acidity and aromatic complexity. The soils are primarily clay-limestone, offering excellent drainage and mineral balance that enhances the varietal's structure and aging potential. Sustainable viticultural practices are employed, emphasizing minimal intervention and careful canopy management to protect the fruit and promote even ripening.
Production Notes:
Harvested in early October at optimal ripeness, the grapes underwent cold maceration to extract color and aromatics before a temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine was aged for several months in a combination of stainless steel and used French oak barrels, allowing for gentle oxygenation without overpowering the varietal's natural vibrancy. The result is a pure expression of Graciano with subtle oak influence and an emphasis on freshness and varietal integrity.
Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby color with violet reflections
Aromas of black cherry, dried herbs, and crushed violets
Hints of spice, leather, and licorice on the nose
Medium-bodied with firm, structured tannins
Bright acidity that balances ripe dark fruit flavors
Long, earthy finish with notes of black pepper and graphite
Serving Suggestions:
Agramont Graciano 2021 is a versatile red wine that pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, mushroom risottos, roasted game, and aged Manchego cheese. Its firm structure and bright acidity also complement tomato-based dishes and spicy stews. Serve slightly below room temperature, around 60–65°F (15–18°C), and consider decanting for 30 minutes to allow the wine to open up and fully express its complexity.
Q.S.S., short for Quinta de São Sebastião, is an esteemed estate located in the historic winemaking region of Arruda dos Vinhos, within the larger Vinho Regional Lisboa designation. With roots dating back to the 18th century, the estate has undergone significant modernization over the past two decades while honoring its centuries-old traditions. Led by a dynamic team of passionate viticulturists and winemakers, Q.S.S. blends Portuguese heritage with modern precision to craft wines of elegance, structure, and depth. The Rare Grande Reserva represents the pinnacle of the estate’s red wine production, made only in outstanding vintages from select vineyard parcels.
Vineyard Notes
The vineyards of Q.S.S. are nestled in the hills northwest of Lisbon, benefitting from a unique microclimate influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. The maritime breezes provide natural cooling, which allows for extended ripening periods and optimal flavor development while preserving acidity. The soils are predominantly clay-limestone, offering excellent water retention and mineral complexity. The 2021 vintage experienced a balanced growing season with mild weather conditions, ideal for producing concentrated, age-worthy fruit. Grapes were hand-harvested from low-yielding, mature vines to ensure maximum quality.
Production Notes
The Q.S.S. Rare Grande Reserva Red 2021 is a blend of indigenous and international varieties, typically including Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, and Syrah, sourced from the estate’s finest parcels. After meticulous sorting, the grapes underwent a cold maceration followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatic intensity. The wine was then aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, with a portion in new oak to add structure and complexity. Following barrel aging, the wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered to maintain its character and aging potential.
Tasting Notes
Deep, opaque ruby color with violet reflections
Aromas of ripe blackberries, cassis, and dark cherries
Hints of licorice, baking spices, vanilla, and toasted oak
Full-bodied and richly textured on the palate
Silky tannins and balanced acidity
Long, persistent finish with notes of dark chocolate and graphite
Excellent aging potential for 10+ years
Serving Suggestions
Q.S.S. Rare Grande Reserva Red 2021 is best served slightly below room temperature, at around 60–65°F (16–18°C), ideally decanted for at least one hour before serving to allow its complexity to fully unfold. This bold and structured wine pairs beautifully with robust dishes such as grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, lamb tagine, or rich mushroom risotto. It also complements hard aged cheeses like Manchego or Portuguese Queijo da Serra. For optimal enjoyment, consider enjoying it with a hearty meal or during a contemplative evening where the wine can shine as the centerpiece.
