Prosecco is more popular than ever. This effervescent wine made from Glera grapes harvested in Northeastern Italy’s region of Veneto provides the ultimate refreshment. Its simple stone fruit and citrus aromas accompanied by a tantalizing fizz is well suited for sipping on its own or to liven up a sparkling cocktail.

This wine is made from grapes harvested from cordon-trained vines planted in alluvial soils. After a soft press, the must is cooled and then fermented in stainless steel. Secondary fermentation occurs using the Charmat method.

TASTING NOTES

Aromas of fresh peaches leap from the glass along with hints of honeysuckle and melon. Once sipped, a shower of foamy bubbles dances soulfully on the tip of your tongue and then bursts into a medley of crisp citrus fruit. "The nose on this one is beautifully soft and inviting - perfumed fruits, lots of warm honey sweetness, baked apples, and plenty of buttered toffee long lasting in the glass.

The palate is dense and tingly, initially offering up leather as well as deep, developed berry notes (think blueberry pie and luxardo cherry). Thick cherry cobbler begins to soak into the palate as even deeper herbal and spice notes begin to surface. All tied together with fudge covered graham notes and ginger.

The finish is long and trailing with slightly perfumed candied fruits, toasted honey, and Thin Mint cookies lasting well into the long finish." -
