Whiskey Wednesday 101: What's the difference between bourbon, rye, and Scotch? Bourbon must be made in the US with at least 51% corn. Rye leads with — you guessed it — rye grain, giving it spice. Scotch is aged in Scotland, often with a smoky peat character. We obviously can't offer a local scotch, but the Hudson Valley has so many distilleries. Try a local bourbon or rye today!
