Our Executive Director Curtis Burdette joined Kimberly Tagliareni from Michigan Works! West Central, Jodi Gruner from Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development - MDARD to visit Walkerville KwikMart where they are building a new locally owned convenience store in a vital location on the East side of Oceana County.

We had a full day joining Darryl Todd from Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Doug Landman from Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center visiting Country Dairy, Inc in New Era and Arbre Farms Inc. in Walkerville. We also shared how The Right Place can support their efforts. So many great things happening in Oceana County!

Curtis and the leaders from OCEA partner organization are always interested in helping support community development and economic development in Oceana County.

Merry Christmas from all of us at the Walkerville Kwikmart! We got a Christmas present for you all this year….we put the down payment down for a brand new store. We will be breaking ground Spring 2025. Thank you for all the continued support at not only the walkerville store but also the Ten31, as we see many of your faces there as well. It’s because of you all that we are able to move forward with this build. ❤️🎄
