A few weeks ago, I (Kimi) and Oivind (spouse, silent minority partner, 3D printing guru and guy usually at the door for our Grand Tastings) attended the Northshore Magazine Gala.
We aren't really gala folk. We are a bit gritty, untamed, casual and we sometimes behave a bit feral. But we made a go at it. I even bought a new dress. It had a whale printed on it, but I did consider one of my cheesy-printed outfits. There I go, taming that bit of feral.
Can't say the event converted us, but we had a great time. There were oysters and gnocchi and some crazy strong tequila drink that was comped for winners. We had ice cream and BBQ. And as we were enjoying each other's company and the view, we became the photographers for all the pretty people who needed a photo with the supporting backdrop.
We took the required selfies then hailed a ride to get home.
Thank you everyone who voted for us for Best Cheese Shop and Best Charcuterie Board. We loved the gala, but maybe next time, we'll have a little feral party with y'all where we can wear flip flops and shorts and tee shirts and drink beers and great wine. We think that's the kind of feral-ness you voted for. Am I right?
