Hello Friends and Neighbors!

Busy weekend around the valley and here at the Village Grocery as well! We’ve got a couple employees out on a well deserved vacation, so we had to tap Hank to work the register this morning. Come by and say Hi!

Tal will be down at Shred Fest 4 supporting the local skate park efforts slinging food for a cause. Some great bands lined up down there and it’s looking like it’s going to be a beautiful Vermont summer day to be outside, listening to music, watching some great skateboarding and eating some amazing food all in support of an amazing cause!

So come on down to the VG, say Hi to Hank, and then head on over to the skate park for a great afternoon (rumor has it there may even be a creemee machine at Shredfest!)

Hello Friends and Neighbors!

We are posting today to help spread the word of one of our neighbors in need.

Sheila Uris, who lives just around the corner from the store, has been missing since Saturday afternoon. She is a great neighbor and frequents the store regularly. We know most of you are aware of this situation, but we have spoken to people in the store today who are unaware of the emergency going on.

That is why it is so important to continue to share any and all information that becomes available. Keep your eyes peeled for her Dark Blue Chevy Cobalt!

Hello Friends and Neighbors!

Tonight’s the night! Who are we gonna see in Barre cheering on our local boys of summer as they fight for a spot in the State Little League Tournament? 6:00 at Bond Field in Barre!

We couldn’t be prouder of these athletes as they are representing the Mad River Valley with strength, grit and determination!

It’s going to be a beautiful night for baseball, so come join us in rooting our team on to the states! Find us for a ticket for a free creemee as well!

Hello Friends and Neighbors!

Well, it’s safe to say that we live in a valley full of great athletes and teams! In the past 12 months we have collectively rallied around at least three high school teams that have gone on to win State Championships.

But that athleticism and sportsmanship has to start somewhere.

The Mad River Valley Little League Major League All Stars need our support! This Tuesday night in Barre they are playing a win or go home game for a chance to get to the state tournament! MRVLL is one of our favorite local organizations that we support year after year. And this Tuesday night in Barre they need the support of all of you!

We don’t often call you all to action…but we are asking to Rally the Valley this week! These kids have played their hearts out this season and it all comes down to Tuesday night!

We know this community won’t let us or their young athletes down! Let’s show up loud and proud! And to sweeten the pot, we will be giving out tickets for free creemees for all the local supporters that show up! Just find us in our Village Grocery T-Shirts at the game and let us know you are there to support our Boys of Summer!

Make us proud MRV! We will see you there!

Hello Friends and Neighbors!

The question of the day seems to be “what are your creemee flavors today?” We are still holding strong with Maple and Vanilla on Old Faithful, and the new machine is running Black Raspberry and Vanilla. Our flavor-master Robby is on vacation for the week so we will be holding steady with those until the beginning of next week!

We’ve got a couple specials in the deli today with a smoked pork burrito and chicken pot pie. They both look great and have been flying out of the kitchen so far.

We are excited to be supporting the Mad River Riders with our Penny-per-gallon program for the month of July. They are doing a great job building and maintaining the trail system around this valley and we are here for it!

Another great cause close to our heart is the Warren Skate Park. A dedicated crew has spent 20 years building this amazing recreation space for the community and they aren’t done yet.
