Congratulations to the winners of the 2024 Bigger Buck Contest! The winners all brought in deer over 200 pounds, the First and Second place deer being equal in weight, with the Third place deer being only 3 pounds lighter! According to the contest rules, in the case of a tie for weight, the first person to bring their deer in takes the lead.

First Place goes to Chris Donovan at 216 pounds
Second Place goes to Dave Tobey also at 216 pounds, and
Third Place goes to Gene Clark at 213 pounds!

Well done guys!

This is the third day in a row that a deer has been hit and killed not 500 feet south of the store on US1. This one was hit in broad daylight.
For the love of all that's holy...SLOW DOWN PEOPLE. The speed limit is 45, NOT 60!!

YES!! We still have Houlton Farms Dairy white milk...and chocolate milk...and whipping cream...and a very limited supply of butter.
Come in before it's gone. (We got it in this morning and it's fresh.)

There have been a lot (a LOT!) of rumors circulating about Houlton Farms Dairy.
So let's make this perfectly clear. Please read this carefully.
We are NOT the dairy.
We have NO input into their operations, nor are we involved in the day to day operations of the Dairy. Here is what we DO know.

Through September 27th, Waite General will continue to sell Houlton Farms Dairy products. We will have to drive to pick it up, but we WILL have it available at the store, INCLUDING WHITE MILK.
We know that after September 27th, there will be NO Houlton Farms Dairy white milk being produced. Other products from them, including chocolate milk, ice cream, eggnog, and perhaps butter will still be available.
We will see if the Dairy will still be willing to sell to us, and we most certainly will have to drive north to pick it up.
That much we know.
As far as white milk, whipping cream, half and half, sour cream, cottage cheese etc. we are diligently searching for another supplier.
We are a small store and very few people support us. (Thank you to those who do.)
Most suppliers don't want to be bothered (we have been told that by two suppliers so far, and we are not surprised) but we will continue to search and see what we can find.
