We won’t have extended hours tonight at the shop as we have a staff member who is ill- but you can still paint your heart out .studio or find us out and about. ❤️☕️

Last night’s Chinese takeout reminded me of a story....

I used to live in Columbus and worked in an office where the highlight of the week was going out for Chinese food on our lunch break (mostly because it meant not eating a sad desk salad again).

One day after stuffing myself with lo mein, I cracked open a fortune cookie expecting something deep and mystical… and instead it said:
“You need to improve your workout routine.”
Excuse me?! That’s not a fortune, that’s an unsolicited intervention from a taco-shaped cookie with an attitude!!

That was nearly 20 years ago, and I still think about it every time I open one.

Last night’s fortune was much kinder, something like:
“Within challenges lies growth, and you’ll handle it.”
Which felt eerily spot on... because it’s May, we’re farming in the midst of chaos during Mother's Day week. The dishes and laundry are calling, and as you read, it's takeout for dinner this week.

But also? We are handling it.

And if you’re out there doing your best, whether you’re thriving or just barely surviving some days, so are most of us!

And in the spirit of growing through the chaos, we’re popping up this weekend at the Farm with fresh blooms, good vibes, and zero judgment from baked goods.

It’s a week full of goodness over here in Bodega land as we have Betty out and about every day this week loving on some teachers.

We love getting to pamper the heroes who show up and impact kiddos all over our community.

Because a couple of those days holds a large number of teachers we are having to use our staff and have all hands on deck those days.

‼️ So, please note TUESDAY and FRIDAY we will only be open for the 4-7 evening hours. During the day we will all be slinging the beans in Betty and throwing love toward some teachers. ❤️

Then we wrap up our week with some of the best humans we know at the Wildroot Flower farm.

Celebrating teachers and mommas this week. What a privilege?!

These are the moments that remind us of some of our deepest why.

Thank you for your understanding as we drink good coffee and do good work together this week. ❤️☕️

Joining our friends on the farm on Saturday and we are so excited!

If ever there was a place that was pure joy from the time you hit the driveway this surely is the place. 🌺🌸🌼

Less stress and more joy … now there’s a t-shirt and a mantra and a philosophy we are gonna get behind anytime we get the chance.

You bring your peeps - we will bring the caffeine and the flowers and the treats … a recipe for a sweet day for sure!
