It’s that time of year again! We are fundraising and taking donations for Samaratin’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. This year we are working to bring a Christmas gift to a child in need.
Last year we were able to pack 55 boxes but this year we are upping our goal to 65! The children receiving the boxes are:
Boys (2-4yrs) (5-9yrs) (10-14yrs)
Girls (2-4yrs) (5-9yrs) (10-14yrs)
That’s 65 gifts for children that wouldn’t receive a Christmas present. 65 children will receive necessities like toothbrushes, soap, bath cloths, underwear/socks & combs. 65 children will receive toys, coloring pencils, coloring books, school supplies, and more. 65 children will receive the Word of God, will learn about Jesus’ love for them and their families. 65 children’s lives will be changed along with their families and friends.
In the almost 18 years I’ve been a part of fundraising for Operation Christmas Child, I can say that the easiest and most cost efficient way for boxes to get packed is for everyone to purchase a bulk item instead of packing an individual box. You’re more than welcome to purchase your own items or pack your own box and bring them to us!
I have an Amazon wish list that I will include in the comment section of this post that has everything we need to fill boxes. The items ship directly to us- we purchase the boxes, organize, pack, label AND ensure the box is shipped!
I also ask that if you don’t feel like purchasing any items, please consider making a $10 donation. We are required to donate $10 per box to help cover shipping. If we are able to fill 65 boxes this year, that’s $650 we need to raise. You may make donations via check made out directly to Samaratin’s Purse (what we prefer) and we also will take cash or a donation through Cash App or Venmo.
If you wish you pack a box yourself or purchase items in town, we will have a drop off point and I will be available to travel to businesses to pick up. If you have any questions about items we need the most please feel free to send a message.
