We're kicking off our annual participation in the Weekend of Local campaign a few days early.

We will have six days of opportunities to win some cool prizes (no purchase necessary, but MUST BE 21 TO PARTICIPATE), shop some sales, and end the week with some product tastings this Friday evening, July 11th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Let's kick off the week by hearing from our customers and followers. In the comments below, please let us know where you are from, if you have shopped with us at Tin Top Liquor Shop before, and what your favorite spirit, wine, or beer is. The person who lives the greatest number of miles from Tin Top Liquor Shop will win a Tin Top Liquor Shop tee and get an additional entry into the "grand prize" drawing to be held on Monday, July 14th. (Grand prize to be revealed this evening.)

For additional entries for the grand prize drawing, tag three of your friends who are not yet following Tin Top Liquor Shop. For each friend who becomes a Tin Top Liquor Shop follower, you will receive one additional entry.

We're excited to invite you to celebrate the Weekend of Local with us starting this Monday, July 7th. The Weekend of Local is an annual campaign that encourages the community to get out and show support for small businesses. Since we have much we wish to share with you, we're going to celebrate ALL week, not just the weekend.

We're grateful for your support year-round at Tin Top Liquor Shop and Flourish 73859, and we are also grateful for the other small businesses in Vici and the surrounding communities.

According to information provided by the Independent Shopkeepers' Association (ISA), when you spend $100 in your community, $68 stays in YOUR community. If you spend the same amount at a national chain, only $43 stays in the local economy. Feels better to think about the money staying at "home," doesn't it? Put your money where your heart is this weekend and shop/eat local!

Be watching as we post special sales, activities, and opportunities to grab some freebies, and win some gift cards and prizes. We'll also have some special samplings/tastings on Friday, July 11th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

We are learning to appreciate whiskey and bourbon, due to great customers with first-hand knowledge, and a better understanding of how and what to appreciate about this particular niche of the liquor world.

And, this Penelope Toasted Rye Whiskey might actually have been one of my favorite samplings of the liquor trade show we just returned from.

Penelope is still fairly unknown in our neck of the woods, but those who know it, LOVE it, and wing its praises.

Don’t miss out! According to the brand website, this is a limited release, the second in its annual Straight Rye Whiskey Toasted Series. (The first will soon be on the shelf too.)

If tequila is your “spirit,” and you’re adventurous, this is a must-try combo!

The smoky Tanteo Chipotle tequila with the sweetness of the RE’AL Blackberry Puree and sweet-sour of your favorite margarita mix……..AMAZING!

Tried this at the retail liquor trade show this weekend, and it might be my favorite “new” thing to hit the shelf at Tin Top Liquor Shop.
