Henry, one of our founders at Ventura Spirits, with Raul “Reppo” Chavez at the symposium last week. Reppo planted his first agave in Yolo County back in 2014 with a vision to create a true California agave spirit, now one of the leading voices on the plant.

Introducing Reppo, our California agave spirit, distilled from 100% Yolo-grown agave.

Made from a unique California hybrid and crafted through three separate small harvests, each batch was cooked, crushed, fermented, and pot distilled before resting individually. Once blended and slow-proofed, the result is a spirit that’s both vibrant and layered — bright, fresh agave up front with deeper earthy, peppery notes from the more mature lots.

Additive-free and rooted in place, Reppo is our take on what agave can become in California.
