ITALIAN RED WINE is my first true wine love ❤️ Forever reminding me of my favorite restaurant jobs. The family meal at the end of a busy Friday at the local family-owned pizzeria/trattoria. I was in high school so I only got a splash of homemade wine w/ a little cube of ice in one of those mismatched stemless tumblers. But it was so good w/ the special sauceless pizza the owner made that had tons of garlic, shallots, capers & anchovies. Or the fine(ish) dining job in college where we would all sit together at the end of the night to do our reports/receipts. The older Italian manager with the thickest accent who taught me so much about service/hospitality would bring us out a small plate of Gorgonzola dulce, honey, grapes & crostini to share. I’d sip my “ shifty” glass of Sangiovese while he tried to convince us all that grappa didn’t taste like rocket fuel 🚀 What’s your favorite Italian wine memory? Thank you to all who support us 🙏🏼 It was an amazing Summer 🤙🏻 Today (9/22) is our last full day 🌅 Both shops & will be closed from 9/23-9/28 reopening w/ off-season hours on Friday 9/29 🍂Hours as follows:
Fridays 12-8pm
Saturdays 12-8pm
Sundays 10am-4pm
Wine, beer, spirits, cheese, charcuterie & snacks w/ be available ❤️ Sandwiches, baked goods & other specials will return Summer 2024 😎
