Hello Wednesday 💙

One thing I listened to this weekend really stuck with me…

Sometimes the biggest disadvantage to obedience is “they.”

What will they think?
What will they say?
What if they don’t understand?
What if they think I’m crazy?

But if God gave you the vision, the mission, or the desire in your heart, then “they” cannot be louder than Him.

Noah probably looked crazy until the flood came.
David probably looked too small until Goliath fell.
Sometimes obedience will make absolutely no sense to anyone else around you.

So do it scared.
Do it unsure.
Do it shaking in your boots.
Do it when nobody claps.
Do it when nobody understands.

Because if God is in the story, He will handle the outcome.

We were able to grab some from our local community center today and bring them over to this side of Vanceboro because we know sometimes transportation or time can make it difficult to get across town.

Growing up, my daddy would grab a Pepsi and peanuts… and pour the peanuts right into the soda. I used to think it was so strange 😂
Now I sit back and think about those good ol’ days… and it doesn’t seem strange at all.

If my dad was still here, I know he’d be sitting in the store every day, talking, laughing, and probably telling me what I should be doing different 😂😂.

Alonza and Gregory Pelham, my dad and granddaddy, were truly two of a kind men.

They taught me a lot — especially that nothing is impossible if you keep going and keep trying.
