Hey neighbors! 💙

We originally planned to reopen September 4th, but we’ve decided to give ourselves more time to continue building our inventory. October will be our goal, but more importantly, we want to make sure when we reopen, we’re truly ready to stay open.

Building something with your own hands and without taking on consumer debt isn’t easy. We don’t have credit card companies, investors, or banks funding this journey. JB’s is being built by us, one purchase, one shelf, and one step at a time. That may mean moving slower, but we’d rather do that than rush to open with the bare minimum and find ourselves having to close again.

Our GoFundMe is still up, and while we hoped to raise more, we are incredibly grateful for every donation, share, piece of advice, and person who has checked in on us. 💙

We aren’t done! We’re simply taking the time to build this the right way so that when those doors open again, we can keep moving forward.

Several people have reached out privately asking how they could help, and one suggestion that kept coming up was starting a GoFundMe.

As an extremely private person, this wasn’t a decision I made lightly. After a lot of prayer, deep breaths, and choosing to be vulnerable, I decided to say yes.

To everyone who has checked on us, prayed for us, shared our posts, or stopped by JB’s Mini Mart—thank you. ❤️

We want everyone to know that JB’s Mini Mart is NOT closing. Our story isn’t complete just yet.

We’ve taken a little extra time beyond our planned week break to work through some things behind the scenes so we can come back stronger. When your business is run by a party of two, sometimes you have to slow down, regroup, and make the best decisions for the future. That’s exactly what we’re doing.

When we reopen, we’ll have:
🌭 A brand-new hot food option we’re excited to share.
🛍️ Plans for a late summer/fall community market with local vendors.
💙 The same commitment to serving our community.

This season has stretched us, but it hasn’t stopped us.

‼️ JB’s Mini Mart Family Reset ‼️

Throughout this journey, I’ve tried to remain transparent because JB’s was built on faith, community, and a dream that was much bigger than ourselves.

As we approach six months of being open, our hearts are incredibly grateful for every customer, prayer, purchase, conversation, and word of encouragement. What a blessing these past six months have been.

I’ve also learned that with blessings often comes responsibility, and sometimes two things can be true at once: we can be deeply thankful for what God has entrusted to us and also recognize when our minds, bodies, and hearts need a moment to rest. Obedience doesn’t always look like pushing through; sometimes it looks like pausing, trusting, and allowing ourselves to be refreshed for the season ahead.

With that being said, our family will be taking a much-needed Family Reset. JB’s Mini Mart will be closed June 29th through July 6th as we rest, regroup, and prepare for what comes next.

As we move closer to our reset, you may notice inventory becoming a little lighter than usual. We’re intentionally allowing some items to sell down so we can come back refreshed, restocked, and excited to continue serving our neighbors.

✨ We are OPEN and operating as usual through Saturday, June 28th, so be sure to stop by and grab your favorites before our short break!

We sincerely hope you’ll continue supporting our little family-owned business when we reopen. Thank you for walking alongside us during these first six months. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the next season of JB’s.

💙 Happy Father’s Day from JB’s Mini Mart! 💙

Today, we celebrate all the dads, granddads, bonus dads, uncles, and father figures who show up, work hard, teach, provide, protect, and love their families in countless ways.

A special shoutout to Tim for all he does for our family, our little store, and our community. We appreciate you more than words can say.
