This high-floor barrel highlights Bardstown’s unique “Zebra Barrel” finishing process, which alternates staves of new charred oak with toasted Cherry Wood that gives a unique Rock-n-Rye flavor. The result is a layered and texturally rich rye. Aromatics show light herbal spice, graham cracker, and oak resin. On the palate: toffee, baked grain, and a distinctly molasses-like finish that provides welcome sweetness and viscosity to balance the substantial proof.
