McClelland Family Farm update 🎃

🍂 It’s hard to believe how quickly fall is sneaking up on us—September is just around the corner!

We wanted to give everyone a quick update on the farm for the 2025 season. Unfortunately, we will not be opening on the weekends this fall.

As many of you know, we also own Spruce & Hemlock, which includes our gift shop, bakery/deli, wholesale offerings, and now a newly renovated vacation rental! That renovation took much longer than we expected, and we’re now diving into several other big projects in our newly acquired space in our building. With so much going on and a busy summer in general, we simply couldn’t get up to the farm as much as we had hoped.

That said, Andrew has still been busy! He spent the spring and summer testing the soil and experimenting with new pumpkin-growing methods. We have a few hundred pumpkins growing, and while we won’t be hosting fall events this year, we will have a self-serve ROADSIDE stand open 7 days a week from dawn until dusk. 🎃

We're also struggling to find an insurance carrier that can grow with us (live music, food, haunted hayrides). We need to ensure that we're set up to host the way we envision unfortunately and this has been more challenging than we had hoped it would be.

✨ Our plan is to be back and better than ever for Fall 2026. We want to do things right—and this year, we knew we wouldn’t be able to give it the attention it deserves. We’re truly sorry to those who were hoping to visit this fall.

We had such a great response to our Turkey Cranberry Sub Specials yesterday that we’re busy baking up fresh bread this morning to restock! 🥖🦃🍒

On the sweet side, we’ve got Avalanche Cookies ready and Mary has made some delicious mini cheesecakes waiting in the refrigerator cooler. 🍪🍰 Plus, we’re restocking our hearty Tomato, Beef & Macaroni Soup—perfect for these late August days. 🍲

🛍️ Store Hours: 8am–5pm

A quick note: we’re a little short-staffed in the kitchen today with staff appointments and some of our summer help heading back to college. To help us keep things running smoothly, feel free to place your lunch orders early and add a note at checkout with your preferred pickup time—we’ll have it fresh and ready when you arrive!
