This week we had the pleasure of a store-visit from the man behind Lubanzi W**es. Located in South Africa, LUBANZI’s project is a dual project: to make great w**e, and to leave a positive social impact.

LUBANZI works with the Pebble Project, reinvesting 50% of their profits each year in “the people and places that are responsible for what’s in your glass.” That means investing in the local communities around their growing / production partners to achieve social and environmental sustainability. Learn more about their impact on their website.

The w**es are low-intervention, in an effort to show the rich & rugged terroir around Swartland. And boy… they do. From floral, smooth Cinsault to juicy Chenin Blanc and bright Sauvignon Blanc, we were thrilled by what we tasted.

You’ll be able to spot LUBANZI w**es on our shelves going forward. See you in-store!

We have some new Italian w**e on our shelves & we want to show it off.

The VIBERTI Barbera / Dolcetto blend is the first vintage of its kind. It is a w**e meant to show off the approachability of Piedmont’s table w**es; fruity, smooth and bright.
MONTALBERA is the largest grower, producer and exporter of the rare aromatic red w**e grape Ruche. It’s the first Ruche on our shelves and we think it’s worth stopping by for.

Try these two newbies alongside some long time favorites (Alpine Pinot Grigio, Bardolino (❤️) and Lambrusco).

This Saturday, join us in tasting 5 w**es from Chile.

A narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and the towering Andes Mountain range, Chile is home to terroir with incredible oceanic & mountainous influences. It is also home to an incredible group of w**emakers that are pushing the boundaries, sharing techniques & making great w**es.

We’re opening 5 w**es this Saturday, some of them more classical in styles, some of them with a newer style. All worth trying.
