Tulsa is celebrating the Route 66 Centennial with a historic, record-breaking event: the Route 66 Capital Cruise. Thousands of classic vehicles will attempt to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for the largest classic car parade in history.

The main car parade and associated festival activities feature specific events, locations, and timings:

When: Saturday, May 30, 2026. Cars roll out at 8:00 AM.

The Route: The parade begins at Tulsa Expo Square, travels north on Yale Avenue, and heads west along historic 11th Street (Route 66) from 11th & Yale to 11th & Denver.

Finish Line Festival & Viewing: Spectators can view the parade and enjoy 16 designated Cruise Party Zones, food trucks, and a finish-line festival presented by Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

University of Tulsa Party Zone: Catch live music, lawn games, food trucks, and a Kid Market on Chapman Commons from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Event Festivities & Tailgates
Capital Cruise Expo: Thursday, May 28 (2:00 PM–8:00 PM) and Friday, May 29 (10:00 AM–8:00 PM) at Expo Square. Includes driver check-in, vendor activations, and community fun.
Capital Cruise Tailgate: Friday, May 29 (4:00 PM–8:00 PM) at Expo Square. Features food, live music, and family-friendly activities.

We’ve been anxiously waiting for Bao Dumpling Soup, right on Route 66, to open, and today we noticed they were OPEN— so of course we had to go!

Y’all… it was SO good.

I ordered the pork soup dumplings for my entrée and they were absolutely delicious. We also shared the cream cheese angels for an appetizer (highly recommend 👏), and Matt ordered the General Tso’s chicken.

And the drinks… oh my goodness. 🧋
Matt had the pineapple tea and I had the mango milk tea — both were SO flavorful!

We are SO excited to have another delicious spot right across the street from Mother Road Market. We’ll definitely be back soon!

If you’re in Tulsa and love dumplings, this one needs to go on your list ASAP. 🥢✨
