Winter Weather Statement from the City of Bonham, TX -

A winter storm watch is in effect for our area from late Wednesday (1/8/25) evening through Friday (1/10/25). We are asking all citizens to stay weather aware. Temperatures will stay at freezing and/or below freezing during this time period. Hazardous travel conditions are expected. The City of Bonham Streets Department and Utility Department have been working diligently to prepare for the impending weather. The Streets Department will have round the clock crews sanding the streets once the storm passes. The utility department will run as normal. If you have a water or wastewater problem during business hours please call the utility billing office at 903-583-7555. For after hour emergencies, please call the non-emergency line of the Bonham Police Department at 903-583-2141 and crews will be dispatched. Please note that response times may be delayed due to weather and road conditions. The Bonham Police Department advises all citizens to limit travel as much as possible during the storm to allow the Streets Department and emergency response crews full and unimpeded access. The Bonham Fire Department is fully staffed and ready to respond to all emergencies. Heating Safety: Make sure you have a working carbon monoxide detector on every level of your home. Avoid using appliances to heat your home. Follow manufacturers safety instructions on all heating devices. Do not use an extension cord to plug in your space heater. Do not run generators inside your home. City and County Emergency Management have been reviewing our emergency action plans and making sure all resources are prepared if needed. Please note that The City of Bonham Municipal Court is cancelled for Thursday (1/9/25) and is rescheduled for Thursday (1/23/25) at 8:00am. Thank you!

Ya’ll I have 2 specials today!! Smoked pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on a toasted torta for $10. Add fries or tots for $2.50. I also have a Catfish plate today with fries, homemade coleslaw, hush puppies & homemade tartar sauce for $15. Add 5 fried shrimp for $5. I have homemade cinnamon rolls for $3 each. Come get’cha some!
