Roll Into Summer with Free Skate Rentals Every Wednesday at The Ribbon

Metroparks Toledo has teamed up with S&G to bring you Rollin’ Free Wednesdays at The Ribbon at Glass City Metropark.

From May 28 through August 27, 2025, roller skate and roller blade rentals will be completely free every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (last call for rentals is at 7 p.m.; available while supplies last). Whether you're a seasoned skater or trying it for the first time, it’s the perfect excuse to get outside and have some fun - on wheels.

Note: While skate rentals are free on Wednesdays, scooters and skate aids are still available to rent at regular rates, as quantities are limited.

Meet Michelle D. S&G's Very Own Rising Star of June!

Michelle is one of our food service employees, serving some of the delicious, fresh made food we offer at our stores. She loves the fast-paced environment and how the job keeps her on her toes every day. She also enjoys the people she works with, and all the new and regularly returning customers she gets the opportunity to interact with each day. In her free time Michelle likes to spend time at her favorite camping site in the Swanton area. Her reliability and hard work make her a fantastic asset to the team, as she prepares food with the upmost care for our customers and the community she serves.

Meet Sarah Hartford, S&G's Very Own Rising Star of May!

As a shift lead, Sarah has been a valuable member of the S&G team for 9 months now. Sarah brings a contagious energy to the store and has a great rapport with her customers, knowing the customers by name, their personal stories, and having their usual "go to" items ready when they come in the store. In her free time Sarah enjoys spending time at the shooting range and going for rides on her motorcycle. Sarah's favorite part about S&G is getting to be a part of the wonderful community her store is located in and getting to know the people that come in. Recently, Sarah had an emergency situation with a customer at her store where she was able to quickly jump into action and took the proper lifesaving steps to help this person until medical personnel arrived. Sarah's excellence in customer service and care for the community she serves makes her an amazing addition to the S&G team.
