Solid walnut floating nightstand with ebonized white oak drawer front. I have been working on remodeling and updating my sons room (more pics to come in the future) and this is the latest addition. It can be moved up, down, and across his French cleat accent wall whenever he wants to change things up. Box and drawers constructed with dovetails. Finished with a hard wax oil.

This client felt the front of their cabin was missing something. They also happen to be my mom who received these cedar shutters for Mother’s Day and definitely make a difference. Some matching cedar window boxes to be added in the near future. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!

Tis’ the season to make things out of cedar and teak 🌦️🪵☔️💪

If you're planning an outdoor project using wood, it's important to choose the right type of wood that can withstand the elements and resist decay and rot. Not all woods are equal in terms of durability and resistance.

This “Free Little Library” requested by a client is complete and should soon be in service to give and receive used books. Built to withstand its life outside with cedar frame, trim, and roof as well as outdoor rated 3/4” ply. Weather sealed to keep books dry inside and a teak oil finish to add additional resistance to the elements.

If you have seen these out in the community and have used books just lying around, consider contributing or check out a new book that others have given.

Finished this one of a kind solid maple end table. Constructed from a single 2.5 in. thick slab, this features a waterfall edge as the grain follows from the top surface down the face as well as a live edge along the left a right. A wedged tenon on top secures the back leg and rubber feet help prevent damage to floors. Walnut butterfly inlays added across the natural checking gives added character to the slab that also has plenty of spalted coloration and curly figure.

Been saving some reclaimed teak butcher block for the right project. Teak produces its own natural oils which makes it highly water resistant and it is the most decay resistant natural hardwood. It can also be difficult to get authentic teak .This is why I knew I had to save it for something meant for outdoors. Almost finished with this address plaque and planter trimmed out with cedar.
