Who's ready for our complimentary Friday night tasting? We have an all-new line up for you and we look forward to tasting some fun wines and brews with you!

We have for you to taste, Elk Cove Pinot Gris, a well-regarded Willamette Valley white wine known for its crisp acidity, aromatic qualities, and rich, full-bodied flavors.

Hillinger Secco Pinot Noir Rose Sparkling wine, a gently sparkling and finely fruity. The aroma is reminiscent of strawberries, the palate presents itself refreshing with an extremely elegant, the acidity is well integrated and the finish harmonious.

Shannon Ridge Zinfandel - This wine celebrates ripe fruit characters of blackberry and plum. The mid palate is an explosion of spices and fruit, balanced with soft oak notes and a structured finish.

At the beer table, we have Downeast Peach Mango cider, Boardwalks Lemon Italian Ice, Center Of the Universe Brewski Lager with Lime, and Energy City's Banana Split! All should be fresh and perfect for the warmer days ahead!

Our April class, in honor of Earth Day, is an Ode to Terroir. We are celebrating the soil we grow grapes in and exploring examples of wines that taste exactly of where they're from. These wines are classic, unmistakable in quality and style. They are the perfect example of the varietals and the regions they come from, and we wouldn't be surprised if they turned up on a blind tasting test somewhere.

The class is April 17th at 7PM. $30 per person and reservations are required. Call the shop at 757-686-2222 or stop by to get on the list.

We are all set for our Friday tasting, are you? We have selected several wines to sample that will be perfect for the warm weather this weekend!

We have a nice rose and a Bardolino (fresh, light, and fruity red) from France and a fun white blend from Napa.

Hopefully VDOT will be nice to us and cease road construction tomorrow so its not so painful to come out and enjoy and warm spring evening.

It looks like we have a spectacular weekend ahead of us and we have selected a couple of wines and brews perfect for sitting on the patio and sipping away. Stop by and have a taste tomorrow from 4 to 7.

Caillou White Cotes du Rhone - The nose is explosive on passion fruits and litchi aromas. The mouth is round, pleasant, fresh, on aromas of peach and pear.

Jean Marc Barthez Bordeaux Rouge - Mulberry, blueberry, hints of cranberry, spiced cedar and eucalyptus. Purple flower notes open the way for a minerally yet smooth and vibrant palate of dark fruit and graphite.

Lolea Spritz - Crisp and slightly sweet, this white spritz from Spain evokes early summertime with aromas of jasmine and apricot. Bubbly and effervescent, this refreshing sipper is one beverage we could enjoy all summer long. This is the same sangria previous made as Lolea White.

We have a Coyote Hole Berry Bel blueberry, barrel aged cider at the beer table, followed by Tox Brewing Fugu IPA. Next is Precarious New Lords dark lager and finishing with Energy City Apple and Cranberry Crumble.

Friday is upon us and we have a couple of easy going Italian wines to taste this week. Who's coming out for a taste?

First we have an Italian white blend that is perfect for backyard sipping. A unique blend that we think you will really enjoy.

Next is a red blend from Italy that is perfect for pizza or a burger. You could go bigger and have a steak with it, but we think its best to keep it simple.

Finally, Bigaro Rose. Another unique blends of grapes give the rose hints of strawberry and raspberries.

Speaking of pizza, we have "Beer for Pizza" leading the lineup at the beer table. Then a Hop Butcher IPA, always good stuff from them! Then a "Chocolate Covered Donuts" imperial stout. And finally Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Imperial stout.

Come out and see us tomorrow from 4 to 7. Don't let the traffic annoy you!

We have our wines and beers selected for Friday afternoon and hope you will come out and taste with us! For those that love the spicy garlic Abbruzze cheese spread, its back in stock!

Last week, we sampled to delicious French wines and this week we are going to Spain. We will be sampling a Tempranillo Rioja Blanco and a tasty Grenache. To finish the wine tasting, we will have an Australian Port.

For brews, we are tasting the Cali Squeeze blood orange, Hardywood Irish Red, Afterglow Brain Science DIPA, and Energy City Batisserie Samoa Imperial Stout.

The end of the week is near! Who's coming out to taste some wine and beer with us? We have two new wines to try and 4 new brews.

First up on the wine table is Val De Salis Sauvignon blanc from France. This low cost white offers intense flavors of pear, kiwi, and peach.

Next is Chateau Peynaud-Bagnac Bordeaux. Another low cost wine that offers plenty of flavor. A blend of merlot, cabernet, and cab franc and has a smooth texture, ripe black fruits, and balanced acidity with a touch of spice.

Finally, a sweet wine from Italy, Malvasia de Casorzo a fruity, sweet wine that is sought after for its unique flavor profile.

At the beer table we have a 1911 green cider, Schlaumier Hefeweissen, Tripping Animals Tradedy to comedy IPA, and Deciduous Lollypop Forrest PB&J Sour.

What a beautiful week after last weeks snow! While it won't be quite as warm tomorrow, it won't be snowing! We hope you will come out and have a taste with us!

We have all new beers to sample, they just came in today!
We have Von Trapp Viena lager, Ballad Irish lager, Wrexham Lager, and Destihl Brewery's Suckerpunch Dill Pickle sour beer. For those that like dill pickles, this beer might be the one for you!

For wine, we have Excelsior Chardonnay from South Africa, Shannon Ridge Red Blend from Oakville, Ca, and Rapidan River Peach wine from Leon, VA

We sampled the Shannon Ridge red blend the other day and decided to go ahead and finish the bottle since it was so tasty!
