So, I just met a guy in a parking lot in the middle of the state, I gave him money and he gave me a box full of little baggies of awesomeness... Crack, for walleyes. They'll be on the shelves at the store tomorrow. They look so good I think I'll take some home and tie one on tonight.

Well, it was nice to get back on the water we were hoping for warmer water but it's early... 38-42 degrees, warmer being in Little Sturgeon, coldest out on the big bay. Have a great weekend.

Power is expected to be out until almost 7:00, closing time. We are currently running what we can in the shop with the Ford on board generator. We will be closing at 5:45 please come get anything you need prior to that.

Our bait dealer finally came through and got us some walleye minnows... The landings surprisingly held up after the rain somewhat decent. Cracks out on the big bay are actively moving and ice in the small bays thinned a bit. Always check ice as you go, and be mindful of wind direction. Have a safe and fun weekend.

The landings took a beating this week with the warm weather, near shore ice thinned a bit and creeks started to run. Be careful everywhere, but especially near creeks, cracks and shallow back waters. The top 3-4" of ice got pretty soft this week after a majority of the snow melted, but hopefully this will firm back up tonight. I posted a video of an open crack out in Sand Bay a couple weeks ago, that open water had frozen pretty good and people were crossing that area with machines the last couple of weeks, however Zach from Why Knot Guide Service posted a report that, that area is no longer safe, take a look at the video he posted for the full report.
