Alain Chavy is a superstar winery based in Puligny, with its holdings in Puligny, and with many of its employees residing in Puligny. All due respect to the folks at Louis Jadot, Latour, Drouhin, and the like, but Chavy lives and breathes Puligny. The premier cru Champs Gains sits above its famous neighbor, Folatieres, and produces wines of tension and precision. The 2023 is exceptional, with bright green apple notes and flinty, captivating minerality. This is one of the finest white burgs we’ve had in a long while!
