Our power is back on so we will be OPEN tomorrow! HOWEVER, both vans have serious glass damage and are not safe to drive. There will be no van runs until we can get one repaired and that is proving to be difficult but we are working hard to try to get it done this weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

❤️A day in the life of Miss Whitney and the pre-k class…:

I held a funeral for a butterfly (that we're raising from caterpillars) today with my class. We talked a lot about what kind of life the butterfly lived with us- how many songs it heard us sing, or how many times it heard us laugh, how happy it was when it emerged from its chrysalis, how loved it must have felt each time we peeked at its growing body and how silly it must've seemed each time we cheered for the caterpillar p**p we saw.
We then thanked it for sharing its life with us and we wished it well as we laid it in the grass.

Today held a reminder of grief and a reminder of how much Loss touches all the lives of those around you. But this Itty bitty add on to a butterfly unit in my pre k class held a reminder for me too. Remembering to feel the love alongside the grief helps it not feel so heavy.

Somehow, this tiny funeral for a butterfly healed a part of my heart I didn't know needed it ♥️
