Want a job at Monmouth County's most prestigious wine and liquor shop? We have a few opportunities available for summer stock positions. You need to be available through August. Celebrating our 52nd year, we are a busy wine, beer, & liquor store nestled in Downtown Spring Lake. Responsibilities include general stocking, internet order packing, being able to find specific cases in our extensive basement, and helping customers bring their purchases to their car when needed. You must be able to consistently lift 35+ pounds Applicants must be able to work week days and some weekends but we can also work with a flexible schedule. Fun Fact - We are open daily until 7:00 PM - not like most liquor stores which are open until 10 PM. Earn tips for the summer too. The trip reinvigorated our life-long commitment to this noble region that produces the most collectible and age worthy red wines in the World in every price point from humble petit château & second labels to rare luxury wines sought-after around the world.

We were already excited to grab a tasty, healthy dinner in Naples FL tonite ☀️ .... and then, we saw a unique German Riesling with a personal history for us on their organic wine list, and we knew we came to the right place!
🍽️🌿🎏🫛🥗🍋🇩🇪

The entire reason why our parents got into the wine & spirit business in the '70's was because they fell in love with drinking off-dry German Rieslings with gooey French cheeses & friends in their little Brooklyn apt 😋

So Dad left the banking industry, Mom said au revoir to Bergdorf Goodman and they purchased a liquor store on the Jersey Shore to become true wine & spirits merchants, gourmet food curators and gift basket designers.
..back to tonite's wine! It's called Schloss Vollrads located in the Rheingau region of Germany. And while it is fruity, it is NOT Sweet. Riesling is known by wine connoisseurs as the most versatile and exciting white wine for pairing with food so it was truly perfect with True Food's fresh & thoughtful fare.

Dad LOVED this particular Riesling so much he named our first family dog Vollrads (who was a German shepherd 🐾) and who was the most loving coolest dog ever with a big head, a big bark and the biggest heart ever ♥️

So there you have it! Enjoying this wine with edamame white truffle dumplings, butternut squash lemon almond ricotta sourdough pizza and wild salmon with rice pilaf could not have tasted any better!

Seven • Fishes
🎄🥂🎏🦞🐠

We ♥️ this FRANCIACORTA sparkling wine from an 18th generation winemaking family in northern Italy. Crafted like a true Champagne with organic methods and very low sulfites it was the perfect way to begin our Seven Fishes feast paired with shrimp cocktail, Taramosalata, baked clams, tuna & white beans, lobster salad, cheese & olives

Next a mouthwatering VERMENTINO crafted by the Prua family in the Liguria region, affectionately known as the Italian Riviera, was bursting with flavors of salty minerals, ripe lemon, melon, apricot skin, anise and marigold flowers. It paired so well with lemony Linguini in clam sauce and fresh crab cakes. The homemade eggnog dosed with and a heavenly lemon meringue pie ended our feast with divine sweetness ♥️

Thomas & fam had the best time with the ‘Gorgeous’ Goats whose milk creates the freshest, fluffiest, most magical goat cheeses we’ve ever tasted!

This local farm is located in Stockton, NJ, due west of Spring Lake, and owned by the loveliest, hardest working goat lovers Maria & Matt!!!

Pick up Gorgeous Goat cheeses while you can! The lovely ladies stop milking soon so we will have to wait until Spring 🌷
