Azienda Agricola Giribaldi is a historic, family-run estate located in Rodello within the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy, currently operated by the third generation of the Giribaldi family. Celebrated as early pioneers of sustainable viticulture, they transitioned to organic farming in 2001 and became one of the very first w**eries in the Langhe to achieve official CEE organic certification in 2004, exemplified by their Barolo sourced from the renowned Cru vineyards of Novello. Combining traditional cellar techniques like large French oak cask aging with modern technology, they export 70% of their production worldwide and warmly welcome visitors to their panoramic tasting room overlooking the UNESCO-listed hills.
The Azienda Agricola Giribaldi 2021 Barolo DOCG “Alma” is a classic, full-bodied 100% Nebbiolo red w**e. Sourced organically from vineyards in the Novello area, this elegant w**e displays an intense ruby red color with youthful amaranth reflexes that take on brick-orange tones with age. The bouquet is expressive, offering aromas of fresh strawberries, cherries, and black forest fruits intermingled with a distinctive touch of white pepper and soft vanilla. On the palate, it delivers a dry, harmonious profile where a balanced fruit core meets warm spice, fresh acidity, and beautifully structured, sweet tannins. The Alma will age wonderfully in your cellar for the next 10 plus years.
