Ever wonder what a summer party at our island store looks like? Here’s your chance to find out.

Join us Saturday, July 26 from 3–7pm (rain or shine) for Dogfish Head Brewery’s 30th Anniversary Party at the Southport General Store!

Your ticket (kids 12 & under free) includes:
-A BBQ buffet with house-smoked pulled pork, smoked chicken, or grilled veggie sandwiches, hot dogs, all the fixings plus dessert!
-A special Dogfish Head x Southport General Store pint glass
-Live music with Nikki and the Barn Boys
-Local vendors we love: Grain Surfboards, Green Bee Soda, Wonder Valley Olive Oil, Ebonecook Oysters

The General Store and Gift Barn will be open for shopping and snacks throughout the party.

Some of our favorite treasures in the Barn✨

Each summer, collectors return for Leslie Weaver’s handmade sterling silver jewelry, and it truly makes our day every time someone adds a new piece to their collection. We’ve also watched people fall in love with .me and - each artist bringing their distinct person styles to the mix.

Paired with the colorful stained glass by local artist, Richard MacDonald behind it, this display is pure Maine joy! We are open every day - come & see what treasures we’ve added in this season!

We're throwing the party of the summer and you're invited!

Join us Saturday, 7/26 from 3-7p at the Southport General Store to celebrate our good friends 30th Anniversary Party!

We have been having SO much fun in the Barn this summer! Kathy’s fused glass workshops continue to be a big hit, selling out every time! Our 7/18 class is now sold out, but we have a few spots left for 8/6 wind chimes! If you have a group and want to schedule a class or private party, we’d be happy to get it on the calendar!

We had an absolute blast last Saturday during our first Maine Fibershed Festival! We didn’t let the rain hold us back from enjoying a live sheep shearing demonstration, craft time and chat with local fiber farmers.

Huge thanks to and for spending the day with us and teaching us about how local fiber is created & the Maine fiber industry.

Who’s ready to celebrate our 144th Fourth of July with us? We can’t believe it, but there’s nowhere we’d rather be than this little island we call home!
We will be here all weekend, so don’t be afraid to, sneak over in the morning for a doughnut and a cuppa Yankee doodle coffee before the kids wake up! Call in those subs for the boat. Bring in the sandy crew for a post-beach pizza slices! Or stock up on the essentials- Ice cream, sweet treats, a cold brew or your favorite beer and wine, sausages for the grill, buns, granola, coffee—> We’ve got you.
We’ll be open all weekend, every day ‘til 8.

We have been having SO much fun in the Barn this season! The store is full of color. We love seeing your reactions to the redesigned space and new products we have in stock. It’s a dream come true to host craft workshops and our knitting circle each week. Community is everything here so to be able to offer activities for folks while also supporting a robust amount of Maine artists is something we are so proud of.

Don’t forget: Maine Fibershed Festival is happening this Saturday from 1-4pm, rain or shine!
