This riff on Codigo's standard blanco spends time in uncharred Napa Valley Cabernet barrels, lending it both its unexpected color, as well as its surprising floral and fruit notes. This awarded and highly-rated tequila is a fun example of how small amounts of creativity can create a drink that sits well outside of category norms. Today's Tequila Tuesday feature is the much-discussed extra añejo from Adictivo. This tequila is known for being very sweet, with dominant flavors of caramel, vanilla, and oak. While this might not be the style for all tequila drinkers, this bottle has a huge following and makes for a great after-dinner sipper, possibly with a great cigar.
