Journal Entry 72,392: Day 11; Post Surgery

These last 12 days have been brutal on me in more ways than just the surgery and recovery.

If you actually know me, know me, and not what you *think* you know about me, or my kids, or what you heard from Alonzo Hubbard ( and his constituents: RB, SD, ACH, etc) 🤣 .... Then you know..... That:

Leaving when the power went out Thursday night to sit there helpless from afar while the communities that I love dearly (minus a few, previously named) suffered through a catastrophic event, that we wanted more than anything to be here serving the displaced families, volunteers, first responders, CDot, Electric, Sewer, and Water companies, the National Guard, and everyone in between.....

Then during recovery I cried more than a couple times because I wanted more than anything to be open and helping in the only way we know how: NOURISHMENT .....but there's no way, I just couldn't get through the shift..... And then here we go again..... I'm still not supposed to lift heavy things, strain, or bend too far for a few more days! I can't help....... AGAIN?!?!?!

I CAN ONLY OFFER PARKING???💔💔💔💔💔💔 Crush me.

So, here we are today, feeling sore but soooooo much better!!!! Thank goodness, and it's really crazy the overall good feeling it has after that 'repair'.

Good morning!!! This has been one crazy week, and Maury Povich's lie detector has determined that the statement I made saying that "it's not a surgery, it's a minor procedure!" Was a ... Lie. It was in fact a surgery that was not the easiest to get through. They put me in the "Twilight Stage" and I ended up waking up so many times they had to keep giving me stuff.... So much that they had to up my recovery room time from 1 hour to over 2 to let me sober up.

They said days five through seven would be the most painful, well, I can say until day 5, I thought that also was a lie. I'm still in quite a lot of pain, and Chef says walking around all day isn't something I should be doing. He's not wrong. So, still being in quite some pain, and after the follow up ultrasound findings yesterday, I need to just chill today... And reevaluate tomorrow. I'm not even sure she released me to go back to work, honestly ... I'll talk to her today. Also, found out yesterday this isn't my final "procedure" on my right leg, and I need one on my left leg...... Thanks Dad for the awesome vein genetics 😂😭...

But.....Today marks 16 days off in October!!!! We officially took more of October off than we worked! That's weird.

Chef had some really good stuff planned for you for today, which I was so so excited for, after eating so much for real average at best food in the city, I was ready for that!!!

Susan the Mountain Climbing Tahoe has seen better days, she's currently stuck in Lake City and we need to get her home, if anyone has any ideas. 💔💔

Oh yeah, we got you guys and the Dart League a TV for the front room, too!! The dudes got it mounted on the fireplace and it looks great, just got to get it set up now!!! 🏈 🏀 🏒

Anyway.... Better get busy doing nothing but **boring** resting this leg.... 🙄

Because we cannot get enough of the Green Chili Velouté that we all licked our plates clean of ....with the meatloaf Saturday... 👀 We encourage such actions, and y'all know it!!!!! Soooo......We made it again!!! Not the loaf, but the sauce and today you can get it on ... Whatever you want!!! We are literally to the point that...I'm putting that $ #¡+...on everything!!! You should too.... 🤣 We all remember that Frank's Red Hot commercial I'm sure! This is the new Chef's Green Hot.... 🤣 Anyway ...nevermind ... I'm just on one.

Morning!!!

Are you or ? Chef insists it's not Bangs 🤣🤣🤣 Bangers over here all day.

Sorry we have no Meatloaf Leftovers today! We tried to have 50 orders at least, but we sold out of masher taters at around 46 or 7.....👀 Before 7 pm for sure on Saturday....

Since we won't be here Friday, we have soup today.... Hot Seller every time! Ciorbâ de Porc! Romanian Pork and Beans with Pickled Onions!!!!

Okay guys, I know it's already late but I have been busy slinging meatloaf like crazy! A total plate licker 🤣

Pork Green Chili Meatloaf with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and a Green Chili Velouté.... It's 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 delicious..... You can lick your plate.

I thought if I made a bunch of cheesecakes it would last me through the weekend and into Tuesday, but it's really that super average that it's going soooo fast. I'll be lucky to have any Tuesday, and already am planning a new pumpkin flavor to make Monday night.
