While camping at Tomb Flats yesterday, we unexpectedly witnessed an emergency response that included local fire and EMS crews and a medical helicopter.

I don’t know the circumstances surrounding the emergency, but I do know this: our first responders and EMS crews are absolutely amazing.

Seeing everyone work together so quickly and professionally was an incredible reminder of how fortunate we are to have these men and women ready to respond when someone needs them most.

Prayers and well wishes to the person involved, and a huge THANK YOU to all of our first responders.

This is awesome! Way to go Kaylee!

Kaylee Frederick is the Eastern States 100 OVERALL CHAMPION!!! She is the FIRST WOMAN in the history of Easterm States to accomplish this!!! She finished at 4:09 am, setting a NEW FEMALE COURSE RECORD of 23 hours and 9 minutes. The previous record was 24 hours and 34 minutes!

Deb has been busy (as always! ❤️) making the downstairs Boutique and Gift section look absolutely beautiful, and the new fall clothing has started arriving!

There will be a helicopter flying over the West Branch Susquehanna River as well as Middle Creek, Penns Creek, Loyalsock Creek, Pine Creek and Sinnemahoning Creek today.

The helicopter is part of a black fly (gnat) suppression work by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). According to the DEP, it will be applying a biological larvicide that targets black fly larvae.
