The cigar industry has lost a true visionary.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Marvin R. Shanken, founder, editor, and publisher of Cigar Aficionado.

Since launching Cigar Aficionado in 1992, Marvin helped elevate the premium cigar industry, bringing worldwide recognition to the craftsmanship, tradition, and passion behind every cigar. His influence helped shape the industry we know and love today.

From all of us at Cigar King, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Shanken family and the entire Cigar Aficionado team.
