Dear Sid's friends,
It is almost two years since we closed Sid's Crown Liquor Store, in March of 2014. The buildings are sold. I moved back to St. Louis. And my family will drink the last of the inventory in about two weeks celebrating Thanksgiving. Before our last presence in Sioux falls, this Facebook site, is gone I want to thank you for your friendship and support.
Thank you to Sioux Falls' friends who taught me everything. Sid and Judee were the best. Sid's words of wisdom to me were "If you work hard, you stay out of trouble." and "If you drink and are in the whiskey business, you won't be in business very long (Sid never drank)." and "If you treat people fair, they will come back." Judee was Sid's boss.
Thank you friends who were also Sid's employees. There were a lot of you over those sixty-seven years. Special thank you to those who were working at Sid's when I was there. You are my second family.
Thank you, friends. So many good friends. Until we meet again, I will always think of you and all the good times we had.
