Talladega Short Track Next For Topless Outlaws Dirt Late Model Series

Maryville, Tenn. (5-19-26) The Schaeffer's Oil by Mike Bruner Topless Outlaw Dirt Late Model Series will swing south again this weekend with another $4,000 to win event at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

It will mark only the second time the series will have visited the track known as The Hornet’s Nest. Jeff Smith of Dalton, GA won the series first visit on August 26th, 2023.

The Series Format will consist of: Will Kinzer Foundation Hot Laps - Clifton Construction, LLC Time Trials / Shortys Motorsport Group A and Hoosier Tire South Group B - CV Racing Parts Heat Races - Virginia Driveline and Differential and Fullmoon Graphics last chance qualifiers.

Series Awards: $100 Spring Pro Smash the Clock Award for fastest in Hot Laps - $120 Fast Qualifier Award from Extreme Towing andRecovery / Calvin Pike of LaGrange, GA - The 22Speed Shop / Mike Weeks $100 Hard Charger Award will go to the driver advancing the most positions in the feature. Warsh Day Hard Luck Award with a 5-gallon bucket of their new advanced car wash - Will Kinzer Foundation $100 Donnie Carroll Crew Chief of the Race Award - Race City Performance/Don Blackshear $100 bonus to the highest finishing driver running the CT525 engine.

Layne Clifton Racing Weekly Update 🏁

After kicking off the season with a huge win at North Georgia Speedway back on April 4, the Layne Clifton Racing team hit the road this past weekend for Races 2 and 3 of the Topless Outlaw Late Model Series in Alabama.

Friday, May 15 brought us to Penton Raceway in Penton, Alabama. Layne showed speed right out of the gate by qualifying 2nd overall among a strong field of competitors. After winning Heat Race #2, the team lined up 2nd for the 30-lap, $3,000-to-win feature event. Layne ran in the runner-up position for the majority of the race, but a late-race restart shuffled the field and we ultimately brought home a solid 3rd place finish.

Saturday, May 16 we traveled to East Alabama Motor Speedway for Race #3 on the tour. Layne qualified 6th out of 24 cars and finished 2nd in Heat Race #3, putting us 6th on the starting grid for the $4,000-to-win main event. The car continued to show great speed throughout the night, racing as high as 3rd before crossing the finish line in 4th place.

After three races on the Topless Outlaw Tour, Layne remains the SERIES POINT LEADER with:

North Georgia Speedway Hosts 2025 Season Finale for Jail Breaker Potato Chips Topless Outlaws Dirt Racing Series – October 4th

Maryville, Tenn. (September 24th, 2025) North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA is set to host the Jail Breaker Potato Chips Topless Outlaws Dirt Racing Series 2025 season points finale on Saturday October 4th, for a $5,000 to win, $400 to start main event.

The 2025 Topless Outlaws season opener was held at NGS back on April 26th and produced 50 entrants from five states. Kyle Courtney of Knoxville, Tenn. claimed the win to earn his second career Topless Outlaws victory.

Zach Sise of Knoxville, Tenn. holds a 25-point advantage over Courtney in current Topless point standings with Rusty Ballenger of Seymour, Tenn. holding a mere 1-point advantage over 2-time series champion Chase King of Seymour, Tenn. and Brandon Kinzer of Allen, KY is 23 points behind King in fifth. Top 10 in point standings is listed below.

This race will mark the series fifth overall visit to the 1/3-mile, high banked, red clay oval situated in north eastern Georgia. Many drivers from throughout the region are once again expected. Prior to Courtney's win in April, Tucker Anderson of Blairsville, GA notched his first ever touring series feature last August and became the youngest driver (at the time) to capture a feature win on the Topless Outlaws tour at the age of 17. Blake Craft of Canon, GA won last June. Corey Hedgecock of Loudon, Tenn. won the series first visit to North Georgia on May 18th, 2019.

The program will consist of The Will Kinzer Foundation Hot Laps that includes the Spring Pro “Smash-the-Clock Award” paying $100 cash to the fastest in hot laps, then Clifton Construction Time Trials will include Shorty’s Shocks Group-A Qualifying, followed by B&B Performance Race Engines Group-B Qualifying. The overall fastest qualifier will receive a $100 cash award from CV Racing Parts. The top 3 qualifiers from each group will participate in the Daytona-1 Redraw on the front stretch and will each transfer to the Marlar Auto Mart Fast Car Dash, paying $150 to the winner. Finishing results of the dash will determine the top six starting spots for the feature. All other cars will compete in Noble Knights Construction Services Heat Races.

The top three feature finishers will be interviewed in VP Racing Fuels Victory Lane and the driver gaining the most positions in the feature will receive the PPM Racing Products Hard Charger Award consisting of a $100 voucher from PPM.

Local racing classes include 602 and 604 Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Front Wheel Drive and 602 Beginner. Grandstand adult admission is $25, kids aged 5 to 11 is $15. Kids 4 and under are admitted free. Pit admission for adults is $45 with kids aged 5 to 11 $20.
