On April 20, 2026, officers with the Sedalia Police Department responded by telephone in reference to a harassment report. The reporting party and the victim advised that the suspect, Dylan Brooks Clark, had been harassing them following the end of a seven-year romantic relationship between Clark and the victim.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim and the reporting party. The reporting party stated that Clark had made threatening remarks over the telephone, including statements that he was going to kill both individuals and burn the reporting partyโs personal property located near Clarkโs residence on Crestview Drive. The reporting party advised that he resides in Cole Camp but owns a storage shed in the area of Crestview Drive.
The victim reported that Clark contacted her by telephone approximately 100 times. The officer requested screenshots of the calls and any messages, but the victim stated she no longer had any messages available. The victim reported that Clark told her he was going to come to her location, strangle her, beat her up, shoot her, and burn her clothing. The victim stated she was fearful as a result of the threats and had moved to a different residence, where she was staying with the reporting party.
The officer later interviewed Clark regarding the allegations. Clark denied threatening to kill either individual and stated that he told them he โshouldโ do those things, but was not going to. When asked specifically what he told the victim, Clark stated that he told her he should come down there with a gun and shoot, but that he was not going to do so. Clark repeatedly emphasized that he told the victim he โshould, but heโs not going to.โ Clark also alleged that the victim had been contacting and antagonizing him in an effort to provoke a reaction. He denied contacting the victim approximately 100 times and stated that the victim called him twice and that he called her twice.
Clark is now charged with harassment in the first degree.
