Fresh lineup at the Mercantile — here's what's fresh on the shelves right now:

Boston lettuce, baby spinach, collard greens, kale, fresh cilantro, and fresh rosemary. Cluster tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, red peppers, green peppers, carrots, red beets, turnips, red potatoes, chef potatoes, sweet potatoes, red onions, shallots, and garlic.

Fall table: butternut, acorn, and delicata squash, pie pumpkins, and mini pumpkins. Button, crimini, and portobello mushrooms, limes, and Gala and Courtland apples.

It's the big day downtown. We're open 10 to 7!

We'll be handing out treats to trick-or-treaters from 3 to 7. Tarot readings run in the back room from 5 to 7, and our Community Pumpkin Carving Contest winners are announced at 6:30 — every entry helped benefit Pay it Forward for Kids Inc.

Dinner, Sorted — night two. Sheet-Pan Pork Chops & Delicata, over braised collards. The squash roasts right alongside the chops, the collards braise on the stove, and everything on this card is on our shelves tonight — pork chops, delicata, collards, and Demetra's focaccia to finish it.
