🎃 Fright Night Friday at J&J: the Graveyard Mudslide 🦇

Halloween is tomorrow! If you're hosting the grown-ups (or just want a treat after trick-or-treat duty), here's an easy, creamy party cocktail with a spooky "graveyard dirt" rim.

GRAVEYARD MUDSLIDE (makes 1)
• 1½ oz Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon
• 1 oz Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur
• 1 oz Baileys Original Irish Cream
• 1 oz heavy cream (or half & half)
• Rim: chocolate syrup + crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
1. Swirl chocolate syrup inside a chilled rocks glass. Dip the rim in syrup, then in the crushed cookies.
2. Shake the bourbon, Kahlúa, Baileys and cream with ice, hard, for about 15 seconds.
3. Strain over fresh ice. Garnish with more cookie dirt and a shortbread-cookie "tombstone."
Party pitcher for 8: 1½ cups bourbon + 1 cup each of Kahlúa, Baileys and cream. Chill it and shake to order.

This Tuscan Chianti Classico Riserva has been made since 1927. It's mostly Sangiovese with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, at 14% ABV. Expect cherry, violet, plum, to***co and clove, with bright acidity, polished tannins and a long finish. It's great with pizza, pasta Bolognese or chicken cacciatore, and fun with a dark-chocolate candy bar.

A family-grown white Rioja from old vines in Rioja Alavesa, Spain. It's mostly Viura, with Tempranillo Blanco and Garnacha Blanca, at 13.5% ABV. It shows green apple, white peach and citrus, with a creamy texture and a crisp, clean finish. Pour it with a charcuterie board, Manchego, roast chicken or a bowl of caramel corn.
