Cheers to having a good Old Fashioned Happy Fathers Day 🥃

To make a classic Old Fashioned cocktail, you will need:

Whiskey: 2 ounces of bourbon or rye whiskey.

Sweetener: 1 sugar cube (or 1 teaspoon granulated sugar) OR 2 teaspoons simple syrup.

Bitters: 2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters.

Water: 1 teaspoon water (if using a sugar cube).
Garnish (optional): Orange peel or Luxardo cherry.

Instructions:

Prepare the glass: Place the sugar cube (or granulated sugar) in an old-fashioned glass.

Add bitters and water: Saturate the sugar cube with bitters and add a few dashes of plain water.

Muddle: Muddle the sugar cube until it dissolves.
Add ice: Fill the glass with ice cubes.

Add whiskey: Pour in the whiskey.

Stir: Stir gently. You can also stir in a mixing glass with ice until chilled, then strain into the rocks glass.

Garnish: Express the oil of an orange peel over the drink by gently twisting it, then add it as a garnish. You can also add a maraschino cherry.

Note: If using simple syrup instead of a sugar cube, combine the bitters and simple syrup directly in the glass, then add ice and whiskey and stir.

1.5 OZ CAPTAIN MORGAN SWEET CHILI LIME

3 OZ FRESHLY SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE

1 OZ ORANGE LIQUEUR

3 TO 4 OZ LEMON-LIME SODA

ORANGE WEDGE FOR GARNISH

FILL A GLASS WITH ICE. COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS IN A SHAKER WITH ICE AND STRAIN INTO GLASS.
GARNISH WITH ORANGE WEDGE. 🍊
