Founded by the “enfant terrible” of the Loire, these wines are now masterfully continued by his son, Louis-Benjamin, offering unparalleled creamy texture, precision, and tropical complexity. Currently available are the Blanc Etc, Buisson Renard, Pur Sang and the mythical Silex. These wines are extremely limited and highly allocated.

Pinot Noir Tasting

May 15 -16

This Friday and Saturday we’ll be pouring an upscale selection of domestic Pinot Noirs that will feature three from California and another three from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. California commonly specializes in richer, fruit-driven styles (Sonoma Coast, Russian River, Santa Lucia Highlands), while Oregon’s Willamette Valley provides more savory, Burgundian-style, lighter-bodied wines. Domestic Pinot Noir is particular versatile, pairing well with salmon, mushroom dishes, chicken, and pork.

We’ll also be offering the 2023 Pisoni “Estate” Pinor Noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands as an additional choice. This is a much prized and highly allocated Pinot Noir from this world-renowned producer.

Other notable Pinot Noirs now in the store include three new 2024 Raen offerings (and yes, while it lasts, we have the 100 point debut label, ‘Pacific Rock’), a number of single vineyard Wayfarer Pinot Noirs, and great offerings from Roar, Lucia, Arterberry Maresh, Roserock and many others.

Vincent Dauvissat does not just make wine; he captures the soul of the Kimmeridgian soil. As one of the few producers still using aged oak and hand-harvesting every cluster, his wines are the ultimate benchmark for the region. Vincent utilizes biodynamic practices and believes that “terroir is everything,” producing crystalline Chardonnays with a signature saline, steely bite. The 2023 vintage is radiant and more aromatic than the 2022s, reflective of a more generous, solar vintage that offers a lusher, and more immediate texture while maintaining that signature Dauvissat tension. Because his bottles are guarded fiercely by the top Michelin-starred cellars of France, seeing a tasting line-up including these wines is extremely rare. This tasting event offers an exclusive opportunity to taste and then secure rare allocations from Dauvissat, widely regarded as the ultimate benchmark for traditional, soulful Chablis.

This tasting will sell out. Don’t wait until a few days before the tasting to reserve a spot.

Chardonnay Tasting

Friday & Saturday, April 17 - 18

The tasting this Friday and Saturday will feature a bespoke selection of Napa Valley and Sonoma County Chardonnay. California Chardonnay is the state’s most-planted white wine grape, known for a diverse range of styles from rich, buttery, and oak-aged to crisp, mineral-driven, and unoaked wines. While California is famous for its opulent style, many winemakers are shifting toward more balanced, lower-alcohol, and less-oaked versions, emphasizing terroir and freshness. In particular, Sonoma County is renowned for cool-climate Chardonnays that balance ripe tropical fruit with high acidity.

We’ll also be offering the 2023 Peter Michael La Carriere Chardonnay as an additional choice. This is a much prized and highly allocated Chardonnay from this world-renowned producer. #13 James Suckling Top 100 USA Wines 2025.

Normal Friday tasting hours are 3pm to 6pm. Saturday tasting hours are 10:30am to 3:00pm. If the wines have not run out by 3:00pm on Saturday, they will continue to be poured until 5:15pm.

Six Tastes: $25

All the wines will be available for purchase until sold out.

Be sure to bring some food as these wines always show better with food.

And, get ready for our Merlot tasting the following week on April 24 and 25.
