Irene Marie (Kenney) Mcginnis Passed Away on Friday January 15, 1999.

She was born March 8, 1908 to her parents RObert E. Kenney Sr, and Bertha (Hofauer) Kenneys. She grew up in the grocery business and was the 3rd Generation Owner/opererator of Kenney Grocery/Kenneys Food Store., a busness started by her Grandfather in June 1886 and now the oldest continuously operated grocery store in San Antonio. She retired from the business in 1988, later sold operated by Atila

no Mendoza Jr in January 1989, In 2001 a restaurant was incorporated into the Store in order to better serve the community, as well as the rest of the greater San Antonio. We are proud to say that we are still around today to serve you as well as keeping a historic part of San Antonio Alive today.
