❤️ PORK STEAK PLATES FOR A VERY SPECIAL CAUSE! ❤️

📣 Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 19th!

Our Gaskin First Baptist Church family will be setting up, cooking, and serving pork steak plates at Triangle Chevrolet in DeFuniak Springs to help raise funds for Mr. Willard and Mrs. Ellen Beck! ❤️

The Becks are a BIG part of our Gaskin church family, and right now, they could use a little extra love and support from our community.

This time last year, Mr. Willard suffered a stroke that paralyzed his whole left side. Since then, their family has faced countless medical expenses and major life changes.

We want to come together as a church and community to help lighten their load, even if just a little. ❤️

Sharing ~

❤️ A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FAMILY TO OUR COMMUNITY ❤️

We are incredibly thankful to have power, and we want to do what we can to help our neighbors who may need a little extra support right now.

We’re just a family trying to help our community. We don’t have everything, and we certainly don’t have a lot of resources at our disposal, but we do have some—and we believe sharing what we have is what community is all about. ❤️

We have an excess of meat, and we want to turn it into warm meals for anyone who needs one! We would also love a little help from our community to make this happen.

🍲 HERE’S OUR MEAL SCHEDULE!

📅 MONDAY, OCTOBER 12

● 🦃 Lunch at 1 PM: Turkey & Rice
● 🥘 Dinner at 6 PM: Beef Stew

📅 TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13

● 🫘 Lunch at 1 PM: Ham & Beans
● 🍗 Dinner at 6 PM: Chicken Stew

📍 LOCATION: Flat Creek Community Center

We have all the meat covered, along with some of the other ingredients, but we could really use donations of the following:

🧅 Onions
🧄 Garlic
🍲 Chicken stock
🍚 Rice
🥫 Cream of mushroom soup
🥕 Carrots
🥔 Potatoes

Don’t have any of those ingredients but still want to help? Homemade cornbread, cookies, or anything else you’d like to contribute would be greatly appreciated! Every little bit helps, and every act of kindness makes a difference. ❤️

🍽️ ONE IMPORTANT THING: PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CONTAINER!

We don’t have disposable containers to send food home in, so please bring a container of your own to take your meal with you.

Meals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you or someone you know needs a warm meal, please come by! We simply ask that everyone be mindful of portions so we can stretch what we have and feed as many people as possible.

❤️ We may not have much, but we have enough to share—and that’s what matters.

No one should have to go hungry if we can do something about it. We’re just a family doing what we can, and we know that when a community comes together, even the smallest acts of kindness can make a huge difference.

Please SHARE this post so it reaches anyone who might need a warm meal or anyone who might be able to lend a helping hand.
