The Shaw & Dobbs family are starting the 2025 year off with a new business venture.

Chris and Kim Shaw have entrepreneur backgrounds and have been members of Lake Nehai since 2016.

David and Jenny Dobbs have been members of Lake Nehai since 2023. David is an Army veteran and recently retired from Goodyear Tire, and Jenny is a retired elementary/middle school teacher.

Our goal is to combine our diverse experiences and abilities to create a new business that thrives in customer service and relations.

The Nehai Trading Post will offer a new one-stop shopping experience with the following:

We plan for Nehai Trading Post to be open year-round with opening day in May of 2025. Official grand opening date will be announced soon.


Hours of Operation:
Sunday – Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday & Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.


We are currently in the process of remodeling and giving the store a new look. We are looking forward to the upcoming months, and the new friendships and business relationships that will be created!

Happy New Year, friends!

2025 is going to be different for us, as we have sold the Trading Post to Chris and Kim Shaw.

We want to thank our customers for an incredible 11 seasons at the store. We appreciate your support, your patience, and your encouragement. This is definitely bittersweet for us. We will miss the people and the business of the store. It was a fun place to be thanks to all of you!

We also want to thank David and Dana for the early years. We learned a lot together. Especially about biscuits and gravy!

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Lisa, Pat, and Karen. We wouldn’t have made it this long without their faithfulness! And faithful they were!

A heartfelt thank you goes to Ashlee and Hilary for maintaining this page and so much more. They helped us through countless bun emergencies and anything else we needed.

We are excited to spend more time with our daughters and their families. Our 3 grandkids are the best and were a huge factor in this decision.

We wish Chris and Kim all our best. Jenny and David Dobbs will be managing the store; we wish them well, too. They have so many great ideas and plans for the store. The remodel has already begun. We will post information about their page as soon as we can.

The store was good to us, and we will forever be grateful for the friendships we formed there. We have so many happy memories of this chapter of our lives. Thank you, again.

🐷 Ribs & 🐓 Chickens:

Donnie’s famous ribs and chickens will be available for pre-order with pick up times on Sunday. Ribs are $24/slab and chickens are $8.49/half. Pick up times are as follows:

Sunday: 12 & 6 PM

* To preorder ribs & chickens, you MUST call the store at 660-222-3206 to place your order. Preordering is not a requirement, but highly encouraged as supplies go fast! *

• Biscuits & gravy will be served Saturday, Sunday & Monday from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM.

• Lunch will run all weekend from 11:30 AM - 2 PM. Weekend lunch menu is as follows:
