We’re excited to offer a special deal on one of our favorite Cabernet Sauvignons from Chile — the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon from Don Melchor. A benchmark Chilean Cabernet, the 2020 Don Melchor is powerful yet impeccably balanced, showcasing the pedigree of its high-altitude terroir in Puente Alto.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Don Melchor has 6% Cabernet Franc along with 1% splashes of Merlot and Petit Verdot. Aged for 15 months in 71% new French barrels. 

The nose opens with layers of blackcurrant, cassis, and ripe plum, interwoven with notes of cedar, graphite, crushed violets, and a touch of baking spice. On the palate, it's full-bodied and structured, with fine-grained tannins, vibrant acidity, and a core of dark fruit and minerality that drives through to a long, polished finish. At the beginning of its drinking window, with improvement over the next decade+. 

This is the perfect red to pair with grilled lamb, dry-aged ribeye, or mushroom risotto.
