Woah! A Goose Island Bourbon County Store Pick?!?!?

That’s right folks, a few months ago, we drove up to Goose Island’s barrel house and surveyed their massive inventory of bourbon barrel aged beers. We had the opportunity to blind sample 6 different barrels. After about an hour of deliberation, we decided to pick our barrel. The big reveal at the end was that we selected a stout that was aged for 4 years in a Weller 12yr old bourbon barrel! We’re excited to have this beer bottled and ready to share with our customers.
Tasting notes: Chocolate bomb on the nose with a robust sweet finish.
We are limiting one bottle per customer. We will be putting these bottles for sale this Wednesday 6/4 at 3pm on our website. They will be $29.99 a bottle. We have fewer than 100 bottles available, so there won’t be a lot to go around. We’ll post a link on our page at 3pm, which will send you to our ordering page.
To thicken the plot, we are also awaiting our next Rare Character bourbon store pick. This barrel, titled “The Golden Goose” will arrive later this summer. Anyone who purchases a bottle of our Goose Island pick will be guaranteed a bottle of our Rare Character pick. This does not mean that anyone is required to purchase the Goose Island in order to get a Rare Character later this summer. We’ll have a moderate supply of the Rare Character when it arrives. However, those bottles will likely sell out fast. Purchasing the Bourbon County now will lock you in.

For those of you who read this far, I appreciate all of your support. We’re going to do our best to receive all of the online orders as they come in. It is possible that we will sell out of our Goose Island pick within minutes, making it appointment Facebooking to procure your bottle.
