Happy World Bee Day! 🐝🐝🐝

Today we celebrate the tiny, tireless workers who do so much more than make honey. Bees pollinate 1/3 of the food we eat, help flowers bloom, and keep our ecosystems thriving.

At Guenther Apiary Farm, we’re proud to be part of their story — caring for our hives, harvesting honey with love, and sharing the sweet results with our community.

So today, give a little thanks to the bees — and maybe treat yourself to a drizzle of local honey while you’re at it!

Roxanne Gill Brewer and I recently visited Honeybean ice cream co. at an event last Saturday. I opted for the Oreo flavor and Roxanne chose the coconut flavored ice cream. I highly recommend it, rating it an A+. Notably, Hunter, the owner, incorporates our honey into all flavors of his ice cream. I suggest checking him out on Facebook and stopping by one of his events to give it a try.

Mr. Honey recently visited Fayetteville Beer Works to sample a batch of beer made with our honey. A few weeks ago, we received an order from them for some honey. I finally decided it was time to stop by for a sample. I had a great visit. If you're in the area, consider stopping by to give them a try.

Mr Honey did a local delivery that ended up going 8656 miles away to the South Pole. My son (Colby) went to Antarctica in late Oct 2024 to work as a firefighter/EMT. He went to New Zealand to get all the cold weather clothing and then on to McMurdo on an Air Force C-17. After 20 years of active duty service, I retired out of the Air Force in 2008. I was a C-17 loadmaster my last 10 years of service. An Air Force C-130 took him from McMurdo to the South Pole. Since he has been at the South Pole, there have only been a handful of flights bringing in supplies due to weather. Monday Jan 6, 2025 a C-17 dropped a CDS bundle with fresh fruits and vegetable’s. I wish I could send the research center gallons of honey, but it is just not possible. He will be back home in a few months. He was able to take photos of our honey on the South Pole marker. Take a look.

Mr Honey stopped by Olive Coffee Co. to drop off some Local Arkansas Honey. At this time they have two location with the third one opening soon. Great place to meet with friends and take a break. Another location that you can pick up some great local honey.
