WINE OF THE WEEK…The Little Sheep of France Rosé 2025
Meet the happiest bottle in the shop.
If a wine could giggle, this would be it. Look at that label. Ten tiny sheep, each with its own personality, all marching across a perfect pink field. And yes, the cap is pink too. We are fully obsessed.
This is a Rosé from France and it is everything we want right now. Light, bright, and full of heart. On the nose and palate you get juicy wild strawberries, fresh raspberries, a little floral lift, and a super clean, refreshing finish. Smooth, balanced, and just plain delightful to drink.
The blend is mostly Cabernet Franc with Cabernet Sauvignon and Gamay, picked in the Languedoc and made with a gentle press and cool fermentation to keep all that fresh fruit alive. At 12.5%, it’s ideal for that golden hour pour.
I picked this one because it makes people happy. That’s it. No complicated tasting notes needed. You open it, you pour it, you share it, and suddenly the afternoon feels a little lighter.
It’s wonderful with salads, grilled seafood, goat cheese, or just on its own while you watch the world go by. It’s also a wonderful reminder that joy is a serious winemaking skill.

Where we don’t give a sheep about the forecast, it’s always Rosé season. (Ok that was a stretch)
