What’s mezcal? Mezcal and tequila are both Mexican agave spirits. Tequila uses blue Weber agave, while mezcal can be made from several varieties, including Espadín. Roasting the agave hearts in an underground pit gives many mezcals, including this one, their signature smoky notes.
