Wesley and his crew had a great day! He shared that they were hitting on a black and green jig with a crappie nibble. Launched just down the road at Hewitt Park.

Thorny's Fishing Report as of Aug. 26, 2026

The 2 main launches are open and launchable and you can still step off the dock into your boat.

Unfortunately the fires run alot of people off, but the fisherman that are coming back now are having great success ,(1st picture is one of our local gals Sadie who caught this Crappie from the dock on Aug. 25, 2026...weighing 3lbs 2 oz). Alot of Large Bass being caught from a boat. Catfhishing is really good. Crappie fishing at night is really good but during the day it takes a little work to get them. Perch fishing is fair but when you find them they are good size.

1st picture is from yesterday Aug. 25th, The rest of the pictures are from this spring and throughout the summer!
