I absolutely love this bottle of Bozal Mezcal cempasuchil and if you’ve ever come in curious about mezcals, I’ve definitely poured this one for you to sample.
What fires me up about agave spirits is the creativity and diversity of flavors between bottles… each bottle has its own profile and is completely different than the one next to it.
This mezcal was released for Dia de Los Mu***os and if you’re lucky enough to visit Mexico while the celebrations are going on, you’ll see cities and pueblos adorned with beautiful cempasúchil, a native Mexican flower known as marigold. In the final distillation of this mezcal, marigolds and mandarin peel are dropped to the bottom of the still which create an aromatic and citrus profile which is lovely but also dangerously easy to drink.
This bottle is wild, fun, easy to drink but still maintains nerd appeal which is why I love it so much. A couple left in stock on our shelves 🥃🙌
