We’re not sure if it’s the wine tasting you’ve been waiting for, but it is absolutely the wine tasting that we’ve been waiting for! It’s the year of chilled reds and we’re prepared to prove it. The very first Tour de France drink-a-long kits have finally been assembled. This is has been a project over a year in the making, painstakingly researched and curated by Riley. The response to this project has been beyond anything either of us expected and has given us tons of enthusiasm about programming similar drinking packs in the future. We can’t wait to hear from those of you who have decided to jump on the Tour de France train (or road bike) with us, and for those still wanting to drop in for a stage or two of the race, we do have bottles from most of the 21 stages available in the shop for individual purchase.

It was an honor to get called in to shuck oysters with our friend Jordan from Nancy James Oysters on the first Wine & Brine event of the season.

Nancy James is a locally owned and operated oyster farm providing incredible local oysters to several restaurants in our community. And they’re partnering with Cape Water Tours to host boating and oyster events to support the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays. As a local Delawarean who spent ever summer for years on a boat in both the Delaware and Chesapeake bays it is a pleasure to help support businesses and organizations that are doing incredibly valuable work to keep our water ways clean and support our local communities. What happens when a sommelier becomes a cycling fan and spends way too much time studying the Tour de France route?

Apparently, this. lol.

We’ve spent months painstakingly tracing the 2026 Tour through vineyards, mountain passes, historic wine regions, and a few unexpected stops along the way. That research also meant tracking down hard-to-find wines, working through our importer network, and sourcing bottles that capture the spirit of the places the riders will actually pass through. The result is a series of collections designed to let you experience France one stage at a time.

We’re rolling out a new program this summer!
First, as a reminder, at Bin 66 we DO NOT charge a credit card fee to our customers at the register. It is important to us to provide the best possible shopping experience to our guests. We realize there are a variety of reasons that many small business do charge a fee, and we understand completely why that is necessary for some! But since we don’t, we figured we would celebrate. (You know we love a reason to celebrate 🍾)

So, in addition to not charging fees, every Tuesday between Memorial Day and Labor Day (5/26-9/1) we will have customer appreciation days with a 3% discount for all purchases paid in cash. The discount will apply to your entire purchase price including beer and spirits.

We can’t thank you enough for your continued support even as prices continue to rise. Please support ALL of your favorite small business this season and have a fabulous summer.
